This Advertising & Sponsored Content Policy outlines:

Our objective is to maintain credibility, transparency, and regulatory compliance.


2. Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently of advertising relationships.

Advertisers and sponsors:

  • Do not influence editorial coverage

  • Do not control newsroom decisions

  • Do not receive preferential editorial treatment

Paid partnerships are clearly disclosed.

Africa Tourism Summit may offer:

  • Sponsored articles

  • Newsletter sponsorships

  • Event sponsorship placements

  • Branded content collaborations

All advertising formats comply with applicable advertising regulations and digital platform standards.


4. Sponsored Content Disclosure

Sponsored content will always be clearly labeled using identifiers such as:

  • “Partner Content”

  • “In Collaboration With”

  • “Advertisement”

Such disclosures will be visible and unambiguous.

We do not publish undisclosed paid content.


5. Advertiser Standards

We reserve the right to refuse advertisements that:

  • Contain misleading claims

  • Promote unlawful activities

  • Violate intellectual property rights

  • Promote discrimination or hate speech

  • Conflict with our institutional standards

  • Undermine tourism sector integrity

We may remove advertising at our discretion.

7. Separation of Advertising & Editorial

  • Sponsored articles will not be disguised as editorial reporting

  • Editorial content will not be altered due to advertiser pressure

  • Sponsored interviews will be clearly labeled

  • Advertisers cannot retroactively modify published editorial content


8. Event Sponsorship Transparency

Event sponsors may receive:

  • Brand visibility

  • Speaking opportunities (where contractually agreed)

  • Exhibition space

  • Promotional placement

However:

  • Agenda control remains with Africa Tourism Summit

  • Speaker invitations are curated based on relevance

  • Policy discussions are not commercially sold


9. Data Use in Advertising

Advertising networks may collect anonymized or pseudonymized data for ad personalization in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
